Modified ABS compounds from KUMHO SUNNY PLASTICS.

1. Flame Retardant ABS — HFA700 / HFA452 / HFA471

Features：

• UL94 V-0 at 1.5 mm; stable flame retardant performance across the full color range
• HFA700HT high-heat version: RTI 90 °C, suitable for continuous-use enclosures
• Cost-optimized FR ABS achieved through flame retardant synergy — lower formulation cost with no loss of performance vs. standard FR ABS
• Good flow and surface appearance; easy to mold into thin-wall housings
• Low-temperature toughness: notched Charpy 22 kJ/m² at 23 °C (ISO 179)

Applications ：Battery packs and battery housings, home appliance enclosures, power tools, electrical switchgear, small appliance covers, security and alarm devices.

2. Needle-Flame (S.2) Compliant Flame Retardant ABS — HFA700HT-NFS2

Features

• Passes IEC/EN 60335 Glow-wire and needle-flame S.2 test (60 s flame application) — a requirement most fireproof housing materials on the market fail
• UL94 V-0 and S.2 at 2.0 mm
• RTI 90 °C, high heat resistance for enclosures near heat sources
• Halogenated FR system with stable long-term aging behavior

Applications Fire-safety enclosures for household appliances, HVAC electrical control boxes, chargers and power supplies, EU-market appliance housings subject to EN 60335 fire enclosure requirements.

3. Low Infrared Reflectance Flame Retardant ABS — ABS HFA700-IRLR

• Extremely low infrared reflectivity — a migrating IR-absorbing additive forms a low-reflection surface layer
• False alarm rate reduced by 50 %; markedly improved IR signal stability in smoke-detection labyrinths
• UL94 V-0 at 1.6 mm
• Typical properties: density 1.18 g/cm³, tensile strength 35 MPa, flexural strength 50 MPa, flexural modulus 1800 MPa, notched Izod 40 kJ/m² (4 mm, 23 °C), HDT 70 °C at 1.8 MPa
• Excellent moldability for complex labyrinth geometry

Applications ：

Smoke detector labyrinths and housings, fire alarm devices, optical sensing chambers, IR-based security sensors.

4. PFAS-Free & Halogen-Free Flame Retardant ABS — PFAS FREE Series

• 0 ppm PFAS — replaces PTFE anti-dripping agent (typically 2000–8000 ppm PFAS in conventional FR compounds) with our proprietary fluorine-free anti-dripping technology
• Equivalent anti-dripping and UL94 V-0 performance, with better processability, higher surface gloss and improved cracking resistance than PTFE-based systems
• No release of harmful substances; halogen free
• Compliant with EU REACH PFAS restriction proposals and US state legislation (Maine, Minnesota HF2310, California SB 903)

Applications： 

Consumer electronics housings, printer and router enclosures, sockets and wiring devices, appliance parts for export to the EU and the United States.

5. Low-Warpage, Rigidity–Toughness Balanced ABS — ABS G703DS

Features

• Low CLTE: 50 × 10⁻⁶ /K (flow direction), 45 × 10⁻⁶ /K (transverse) vs. 84 / 75 × 10⁻⁶ for standard ABS — excellent dimensional stability
• 1.6 mm flat plaque held 1 h at 60 °C shows no warpage
• Superior creep resistance to standard ABS under load at elevated temperature
• Balanced stiffness and toughness: flexural strength 40 MPa, impact strength 13 kJ/m²

Applications Robot vacuum base stations and chassis, large flat appliance panels, air-conditioner components, precision-assembly housings where flatness and gap control matter.

6. Transparent, Chemical Resistant ABS — ABS N735

Features

• Higher surface hardness than polymerization-grade transparent ABS: pencil hardness HB–F (vs. 2B for general and transparent ABS)
• Scratch resistant and UV resistant
• Chemical resistance clearly superior to standard transparent ABS — constant-stress bars show no cracking after 1 week of exposure to household cleaners (bleach, Dettol, Mr Muscle, Blue Moon)
• Transparent grades available with light transmittance > 80 %

Applications Dirty-water tanks and clean-water tanks, humidifier and dehumidifier reservoirs, dust cups, coffee machine and small kitchen appliance transparent parts.

7. Antibacterial & Anti-Mold Transparent ABS

Features

• Antibacterial rate 99.99 % against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli (GB/T 21510); ISO 22196 R > 5.8 / R > 6.0
• Grade 0 mold resistance (GB/T 24128) — verified over 56 days of comparative testing
• Silver-ion mechanism with long-term durability
• Light transmittance > 80 % in transparent form

Applications Water tanks and dust boxes, humidifiers, water purifiers, healthcare and personal-care appliances, baby products, kitchen appliance parts.

8. Anti-Squeak / Low-Noise ABS

Features

• Molecular-chain damping design converts friction and compression vibration into internal energy, instead of the rigid benzene-ring chains of conventional ABS/HIPS
• Friction noise reduced from 100 dB (standard ABS) to 70 dB; damping factor increased by more than 20 %
• Whole-unit testing: noise reduced from 40–45 dB to around 20 dB
• Eliminates the need for rubber gaskets, felt tape or lubricating grease at assembly interfaces
• Available across a full platform: anti-squeak ABS, PC/ABS, HIPS, PA/ABS, PP alloy and Super Anti-Squeak grades

Applications Air conditioner louvers, air ducts and panels, hair dryers and small appliances, robot vacuum moving parts, automotive interior contact parts. Adopted by GREE, Haier, AUX and TCL.

9. Permanently Antistatic ABS — ATS2801T

Features

• Permanent antistatic performance, surface resistivity ρs = 10⁹ ohms/sq, uniform conductivity E8–E9
• Dust pick-up reduced by more than 50 % (10¹⁰ Ω) and more than 60 % (10⁹ Ω) versus insulating ABS
• Transparent smoke-gray and customizable colors
• Heat resistance up to 75 °C

Applications Vacuum cleaner and robot vacuum dust boxes, air conditioner louvers and air-guide blades, mobile phone assembly fixtures, electronics trays and anti-dust housings.

10. High Weatherability, High-Color ABS (Clear-Coat System) — ABS GN205P

Features

• Outstanding colorability for saturated, high-chroma finishes
• Weathering: UVA 300 h, ΔE < 3
• Falling-dart impact ≥ 0.7 m (2 kg × 22 mm)
• Pencil hardness 2B; designed for a clear-coat topcoat system

Applications Robotic lawn mower housings, garden and outdoor power equipment, e-mobility body panels, outdoor consumer electronics.

11. Ultra-Weatherable Porcelain-White High-Gloss ABS

Features

• Excellent colorability and color stability — no visible color change for 5+ years in field use
• High gloss porcelain-white surface, spray-free
• Consistent batch-to-batch color for large panel parts

Applications Air conditioner front panels, home appliance enclosures, white-goods trim parts.

12. High Rigidity ABS

Features

• Heat resistance ≥ 85 °C at 1.8 MPa
• Flexural modulus ≥ 2600 MPa
• Resists long-span sagging and deformation in thin, long parts

Applications Air conditioner cabinet swing blades, long louvers, large flat appliance panels, structural brackets.

13. Oil Resistant ABS

Features

• Passes 20-day ESC oil immersion testing with no change in appearance or mechanical properties
• Resists cooking oil, grease and kitchen cleaning agents

Applications Kitchen central air conditioner enclosures, range hoods, kitchen appliance housings, cooking-area electrical covers.

14. High Molding Efficiency ABS — ABS N762

Features

• Total molding cycle time reduced by 3–10 s — up to 13.5 % output increase on the same machine base
• UL94 HB at 1.5 mm, GWFI 670 °C at 1.5 mm
• Halogen free, all colors available
• Directly reduces injection molding capex and unit cost

Applications High-volume appliance and consumer electronics housings, sockets and wiring accessories, any project where cycle time drives cost.

15. Recycled / PCR ABS — ABS-M3 / ABS-M4

Features

• 35 % PCR (ABS-M3) and 65 % PCR (ABS-M4) post-consumer recycled content
• Spray-free with natural texture and speckle aesthetics — removes the painting step and its VOC emissions
• Typical properties: tensile strength 65 MPa (ASTM D638), density 1.21 g/cm³, notched Izod 90 J/m (ASTM D256), flexural strength 89 MPa, flexural modulus 2600 MPa (ASTM D790)
• Supports customer carbon-reduction and EU eco-design targets
