Ecoblend® PCR ABS Compounds
High-recycled-content ABS engineered for reliable performance, lower carbon impact and visible sustainable design
Ecoblend® PCR ABS compounds from Kumho Sunny Plastics combine post-consumer recycled resources with formulation, color and surface-design technologies. The portfolio covers general-purpose, high-recycled-content, ITE-derived, light-color, aesthetic and antibacterial PCR ABS solutions for automotive, consumer-electronics, home-appliance and packaging applications.
High-Recycled-Content PCR ABS Solutions
Ecoblend® offers multiple PCR ABS grades for different recycled-content and application requirements.
Representative solutions include:
- ABS-M1 with 85% PCR content for home-appliance and consumer-electronics applications.
- K7049 with 25% PCR content for automotive components.
- ER2100 with 100% PCR content for packaging and general molded products.
- Light-color and aesthetic PCR ABS for visible exterior parts.
- ITE-derived PCR ABS made from recycled information-technology equipment.
- Antibacterial PCR ABS for applications requiring additional surface functionality.
Kumho Sunny Plastics applies feedstock management, polymer compatibilization, impact modification and extrusion-process control to help reduce common PCR ABS risks such as property variation, black spots, color instability and inconsistent appearance.
Lower Product Carbon Footprint
Ecoblend® PCR ABS can significantly reduce product carbon footprint compared with the corresponding conventional material route.
According to the supplied Kumho Sunny Plastics carbon-footprint data:
- K7049: 23.64% carbon reduction
- ABS-M1: 69.83% carbon reduction
- ABS-M2: 49.87% carbon reduction
- ABS-M3: 28.92% carbon reduction
The reported product carbon footprints are 3.46 kg CO₂e for K7049, 1.53 kg CO₂e for ABS-M1, 2.69 kg CO₂e for ABS-M2 and 3.73 kg CO₂e for ABS-M3.
Carbon-footprint calculation standard: ISO 14067. Calculation tools: SimaPro 9.0.0.48 and Ecoinvent 3.6. Values are based on the supplied Ecoblend® product data.
Aesthetic PCR ABS for Visible Sustainability
Traditional recycled plastics are often hidden inside a product because black spots, uneven color and surface variation can create appearance risks.
Ecoblend® combines PCR ABS with no-paint color and texture technologies. Natural speckles, terrazzo effects and controlled surface textures help manage the visual characteristics of recycled materials while giving finished products a recognizable sustainable identity.
Lenovo ThinkCentre neo P600
The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo P600 uses no-paint ABS-M5 with 85% PCR content for its decorative housing. A natural speckled texture allows the recycled content to become part of the product design rather than a hidden material feature.

Acer Marine Eco-Friendly Mouse
The Acer marine eco-friendly mouse uses ABS-M4 with 65% PCR content. Its natural speckled surface provides a visible recycled-material appearance while reducing the need for a conventional painted finish.

Certification and Traceability Support
Selected Ecoblend® PCR materials are supported by third-party certification and testing programs, including:
- GRS recycled-content management
- UL 2809 PCR validation
- UL 2809 ITE-derived recycled-content validation
- UL 94 flame-retardancy testing for selected grades
Certification scope should be confirmed according to the final grade, color, manufacturing location and application.
Customized PCR ABS Development
Kumho Sunny Plastics supports customers with:
- PCR-content planning
